World of Warcraft: 4Kings picks up Nashwan

By: Aaron M. Wall - Published August 16, 2007 at 1:29 AM EDT - Writer Archive
Fresh after BlizzCon success, Nashwan enters the ranks of the professionally sponsored teams with 4Kings.
4Kings announced Thursday that it would be choosing European team Nashwan for its World of Warcraft Arena Team. Recently, Nashwan placed second in the Season One Global Finals tournament at BlizzCon.

The 4Kings team was able to unseat Team EG and mYm but ran into a MoB Gaming TurtleBeach road block. MoB was prepared to play against the common class composition of Nashwan, and went further to challenge it with an unconventional setup that Nashwan had not played against on its home Battlegroup Cyclone.

Earlier in the summer, the team placed 3rd behind SK Gaming and mYm at the European Regional qualifier in Hamburg. Though the games were close, Nashwan was thought to be inconsistent in its play and was not afforded due respect. This all changed after the first day of BlizzCon.

Nashwan plays the popular and balanced Warrior/Mage/Shaman/Priest/Paladin setup. The full team roster also includes a Warlock and Rogue, giving the team many potential top-tier setups for the WSVG 3v3 format.

4Kings WoW Arena is:

Warrior Andy "Zodin" McCrae
Mage Kasper Højris "Dahl" Dahl
Shaman Björn "Seihre" Jankhe
Priest Niklas "Mskin" Hargemy
Paladin David-Michael "Yollodin" Månsson
Warlock Mikkel "Jebzig" Windfeld
Rogue Björn "Kuronity" Forsberg

With Blizzard's 5v5 Season 2's qualifiers and finals still months out, the team will be shifting focus to the upcoming WSVG 3v3 tournaments in Toronto, London and Sweden.
