The CGS 2v2 Qualifier Tournament is underway at BlizzCon 2007. 12 Teams are competing and the top 8 winners will be drafted onto CGS teams for the 2008 season as pro-gamers.

CGS has slightly changed the rules, opting for premade characters with set gear lists like the WSVG tournaments. The intention is to level the playing field and remove the questions of gear inequity. Resist gear and gear from raid content is considered very influential in the smaller arena formats.

The European teams generally run a variety of class compositions while the US players have stuck more with the more tried and true Warlock/Paladin combination.
