Europe - With the bloodstains still showing from Playday 1, the ESL TF2 Major Series motors on with its second set of Groupstage matches. While most teams will be playing on the default day (20th), two matches - Pandemic v Total Llamas & Excello (formerly syre) v Team Empire - are slotted for mid-afternoon today (ET).

Pandemic contiued to strut their stuff last week against Konpaniet, coming away with a 2-1 win despite losing one of their better maps in cp_granary. This weeks matchup will be a much easier one, having already played and beaten tl. before in a scrim with relative ease. The poor Poles got wrapped up in one tough division :(

Excello v Team Empire
The newly-minted Excello.TF2 squad (fomerly known as syre) are undoubtedly a favourite to make the finals this season, and got off to a great start with a strong win against Anim last week. Although Empire held their own for a little while on cp_gravelpit last week, the Russians are simply outclassed in this division and will be hardpressed to scratch out even one win.

Last week's performance by wL was a bit of a surprise to me - not to take anything away from TLR, but I thought wL just had more in 'em. And it certainly doesn't get any easier this week, with Fracture hot off an easy win over GamerArea and looking for more.. ain't no way wL's winning this one.

If Anim's gonna have any chance of making it out of Groupstage, they have to win this one. Period. Will it happen? Not a chance.

Daaaamn, TLR.Tagan romped their french rivals last week.. I liked how the SS of Wlv dominating 5 of 6 made it into the media section, lol. TLR's got the mojo going, and should take Area down with relative ease.

sigh6 v extenSia
While we're still waiting on the exS. v 4K match to happen, I don't think anything exS. does in that match will tip the scales in my mind. sigh6 is just too strong a team to let one slip here in Groupstage, and are probably already thinking ahead to their match with 4K next week.

Four Kings v Die Doppelnullen
There were a couple teams that managed to make it through the long qualification process without necessarily being in the top tier of teams.. one of these teams was undoubtedly [00], who were smashed last week by s6 and will be smashed again this week by 4K. Oh well, at least they made it this far..

With Konpaniet already down a loss to Pandemic, this match is crucial for the Swedes. You can pretty much guarentee that everyone in this group will beat tl., but whether or not anyone can beat the Americans is another story.. I think the Fins take this one, setting up a huge match next week vs Pandemic.
