I only like WC for the story, but the gameplay is insanely boring and so are the battles. WC3 requires micro, but not as much as SC. In the end, SC requires the most skills.
wc3 is only as popular as it is because of DOTA. lets get that straight first . atleast 2/3 of the wc3 population is playing dota and not the actual "ladder". enough said .

just look at Korea. Nearly anybody knows that game and watches it. Pro players play for huge amounts of prize money like that invitational tournament one week ago. 4 players first got 10000$. The teams are organized like professional sport teams with coaches and full-time pro players. That all with a game that is, i dunno, about 10 years old? Well if that isn't popular i really don't know
