The matches played out during the four days of competition in Dallas, Texas were some of the best in gaming history. The best of the North American teams had yet to switch over to Source and were at the peak of their game heading into this tournament. In a best-of-three situation, both teams needed to win in order to stay alive in this tournament. During the opening match, Fnatic tears into a 11-2 lead and all seems lost for a PGS that came in confident, but check out what happens next... can you say overtime? GotFrag TV takes a look at what makes this match a highlight of the event. Showing off the reason for the hype that had been building up all tournament, PGS continues to maim with the polish princes of pain doing there thing on train. Whoever won this match only needed a single victory on the following map to remain in play. The second map? The controversial de_cpl_mill. Best of Three Single Elimination Round One - 4Kings vs. 69N-28E Click to Watch! - Pre-Game | Match Upon reaching the Top 16, 4Kings takes on the Finnish 69N-28E in a best of three showcase to determine who moves on and who goes home. Group Stage II - Team SK vs. Pandemic Click to Watch! - Match After taking a hard hit with a 12-3 first half, Pandemic gets back on their feet and takes 10 rounds in the 2nd. While it wasn't quite enough to win the game, the performance is impressive. Group Stage II - Complexity vs. Team 3D Click to Watch! - Pre-Game | Match Possibly one of the best matches of the event. Group Stage II - MiBR vs. NiP Click to Watch! - Match A match that showcases two star players as Cogu of Made in Brazil takes on Spawn of NiP in a battle on de_train. In order to stay in competition the Swedes had to win this match. Group Stage II - coL vs. fnatic Click to Watch! - Match The "Group of Death" had its fair share of intense matches as many regarded it as the actual highlight of the entire event. If you don't quite know what the top tier of play looks like, this is a great introduction into what it means to be the best. Group Stage I - aAa vs Flow Gaming Click to Watch! - Match After an impressive opening half by Flow, aAa rallies back in the second to claim victory. Group Stage I - MYM vs CheckSix Click to Watch! - Match MYM would eventually go on to place 2nd overall in the tournament, but first they had to take out the first team that would pose a challenge to them. Group Stage I - Pentagram vs. MugNMouse Click to Watch! - Match Ripping into MugNMouse like a present under the tree, Neo & Company plowed the pain train through MugNMouse station again and again in. Collecting four rounds total in the entire match, PGS simply out played the boys from Texas again and again. Group Stage I - NiP vs. EG Click to Watch! - Match The Canadians get their shot at Ninjas in Pyjamas on de_nuke as they look for revenge against the Swedish squad who had taken them out at CPL Italy earlier in this year.
