It's now the third and final day of the WSVG Dallas Quake event. It has been an amazing tournament so far and only looks to get more intense in these last three matches. Meanwhile, toxjq will be waiting in the Upper Bracket for the winner of this match. Tox had a very strong day yesterday, topping it off with a very dominant match over Cypher. WSVG Dallas Quake 4 Grand Finals
In the first map of the Grand Finals, we saw a battle of titans with toxjq and Cypher on Monsoon. For the first half of the match, both players went kill for kill on each other, playing very strategically in almost almost perfect form. With his amazing rocket-work, Cypher stayed with toxjqc most of the way through the duration, but his rail just wasn't strong enough to take down the Swedish Quake pro. For toxjq, it was definitely his LG work that made him so dominant. Though his accuracy for the weapon was about 35 percent, it was his constant use of it that him so deadly. On Phrantic, it was toxjq's ability to use the Lightning Gun and Grenade Launcher so skillfully that helped him to defeat Cypher. Though Cypher's aim was pretty spectacular throughout the whole map, the lack of Railgun and timing over any of the items made it very difficult for the young dueler to compete with tox. In the final few minutes of the match, we saw some very intense action from both players, and it was a mad rush for frags. In the end, toxjq came out on top and was able to win the WSVG Dallas Grand Finals. WSVG Dallas Quake 4 Consolation Finals
It was a great match, but DaHanG just seemed like he couldn't put it together to send Cypher packing. Cypher played very well on both Monsoon and Placebo Effect, letting his rail and rockets do much of the talking for him. Now Cypher must get ready to go back into the Upper Bracket to face toxjq, who he lost to last night in a somewhat one-sided match. Cypher has the advantage of being warmed up after his match with DaHang, but will it be possible for Cypher to change up his strategy and take done Johan "toxjq" Quick this time? |
