GotFrag looks into the state of the MLG Pro Circuit Ladder. ![]() These new online qualifiers are underway. The Halo 3 ladder being hosted by GameBattles.com is the new form of seeding teams prior to each MLG Pro Circuit stop. After weeks of competition between all of the 2,500 teams, the top 128 will progress into the playoff ladder. Following playoff competition, another round will occur which will result in the remaining teams being seeded into the corresponding Pro Circuit stop depending on their results. This system seems to be hitting a high note as there are so many teams involved from across the country. Each MLG 2008 Pro Circuit stop will be hosting one of these ladder tournaments prior to the event; however, this first ladder will be free of charge to all competitors thanks to Gilbert Arenas. We can see a number of teams taking advantage of this ladder play such as Fatal Images and Under The Influence, whom are currently on top of the ladder. This is also giving others that never would have had a chance the opportunity to show the community what they have and perhaps gain a seed into the first MLG Pro Circuit stop. Aside from lesser known teams competing, professionals such as Elamitewarrior and TSquared from Str8 Rippin are competing with their team (currently 13th) as well as others like Bonfire and Itwaluck from XiT Woundz. As of now, there are a number of amazing teams that are holding up to the top spots in this tournament: GotFrag Rankings updated 1/31/08 @ 5:00pm EST
Just Outside: Having more than enough time to improve, we will surely see Type-Z and Str8 Rippin step up their game and boost themselves into higher positions in this ladder tournament. The strongest point of the top teams is not solely the number of matches that they have won, but rather the low number of matches that they have lost. With fewer losses come fewer XP deductions, therefore keeping you at the top of the rankings. Check out page two for rosters of the top ten teams as of now!
