Having an action-packed 2007 season spanning the entire country, Major League Gaming has decided that the 2008 Pro Circuit should be one to combine the online and the live event communities with multiple ways of being seeded at events.

"It's a new year, a new game, and anything can happen."

The new method of seeding will combine an online ladder, hosted by GameBattles, and convert the final seeding to live stop seeding. Starting with a ladder for any number of teams, the highest 128 ranked teams will take part in the Playoff bracket also held by GameBattles. Team seeding will then be determined at each stop by their prior Online/Playoff ranking.

The schedule of competition before each live event is highlighted below:

1. Registration for Pro Circuit Online Ladder #1 - Now Open!
2. Pro Circuit Online Ladder #1 Begins - January 14th
3. Roster Cutoff - February 3rd
4. Pro Circuit Online Ladder #1 Ends - February 17th
5. Pro Circuit Online Ladder #2 Begins - February 18th
6. Online Playoff Bracket #1 Begins - February 19th
7. Online Playoff Bracket #1 Ends - April 3rd
8. Pro Circuit Competition #1 - April (exact dates and location to be announced)

Placing well in the online competition will guarantee teams their passes for the respective MLG 2008 Pro Circuit stop that they placed for, saving them a trip to the "registration mob." This will not stop teams from being able to sign up at live events as registration will still be open to those only able to make it to the stops.
