Day One The Halo2 tournament started out with an intense game to determine the 16th seed. Team PHE and Cwell Fellas played Colossus Team Slayer in a best of two halves game. PHE took the first half, just edging out Cwell Fellas by three frags for the win. Regardless, Cwell Fellas did what was needed to play on and won the next half with a solid ten frag lead. Overtime ensued to determine who would play on and Cwell Fellas showed that they wanted it more. Cwell Fellas went on to sweep overtime and win the final game by nineteen frags. Day Two Day two of the Halo2 tournament is underway here in Texas and the competetion is getting tougher. Team 3D and Team H2O showed that they are definitely dominant teams yesterday by holding their opponents to less than twenty-five frags per half in their Team Slayer matches. Stay locked to Gotfrag to find out who the first ever Halo2 CPL champion will be. The Lower Bracket has begun play after marathon put on by Viper Link and Kenwood Crew. After three overtimes the game was finally decided and the Lower Bracket was finally able to begin. Now join us and see who is fighting to get a chance to win some fame, whether it is by upsetting a favorite or by just getting to play against some of the best Halo2 skill in the country. The first Lower Bracket game features the Armytank that was unable to attend their first game earlier in the day. Armytank came back to the CPL after having some bad.. yet good, luck. Armytank was unable to play their first match due to the birth of a child. While that is good news, it was bad news for Armytank when they came back to be good sports as For the Win took them to the shed in an Oddball Warlock game. Regardless, congratulations to the new mother and father! I will be sure to find the name of the child and see if perhaps in years to come, he too will be playing Halo (or whatever game is played then). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
