Thursday afternoon it’s time for the Halo2 Open.
Pre-registration will be cut off at 30 teams, leaving 2 slots for Halo2. You can have your shot at the $5000 top prize by coming in Thursday to advance to the pro tournament.

Registration

Registration for the Open will begin as soon as the festival begins. We have made available spots for up to 32 teams in the Halo 2 Open and they will be given out on a first come first serve basis. Registration for the open is $15 per player and includes an Xbox T-shirt. Registration will close at 3pm and the Open will begin at 4pm sharp. If you do not have a complete team, or wish to come as an individual, come on down and complete your team during the day. Practice areas will be available in the Xbox Arcade.

Format

The tournament format is a 32 team round robin format. Teams will be assigned to a division and will then play one game against each other team in that division. Teams will receive three points for each win, two points for each tie and one point for each loss. After playing each other team the divisional scores will be added up and the team with the highest score will advance to play a final match against the winner of another division. The winner of that match will advance to the Halo 2 pro tournament.
