CAL Intermediate SVIII Week 10 - Harrington
Good 4 Nothing vs Llamas on Drugs	After getting nearly destroyed last week by CAL-I reform team, remix, G4N is looking for a decent match this week against LoD. LoD is also coming back from a pretty rough loss last week against iCON. Both teams have not been doing so well in IM considering G4N (3-6-0) is on a 5 match losing streak as LoD (3-5-0) is on a 2 match losing streak so this should be a very close match. Watch RocKhanS (G4N) to be the dominant force for the mountain team, while Bob Bobson (G4N) becomes the main player at long. Although that would mean the 2 important points of the map that G4N has under control, watch kS (LoD) to snipe the middle with ease and BElow to hold is own ground against G4N's heavy team. If LoD can capture the middle flag and hold it, they would be able to get a few points to keep it close to G4N. But in the end, I feel that G4N has this on lockdown. remixed vs aimless.dod	Well last week aimless proved themselves by beating Dbolt also known as Untimely Demise. They showed off their skill on all sides of the map on anzio but unfortunately have no chance against Remixed. Remixed lacks skills in the heavy department so there mountain house team will crumble to aimless'. But Ritter "bleargh" and Deadly snipes will hold off middle and long with ease. Lucas has had an amazing season with the sniper rifle. If he brings his A game, he might be able to pull a couple of caps off in mid. Bismal's Prediction: Remixed by 200+ 7-0. You're perfect on the season. How's it make you feel? Wanna goto Disney World yet? Gonna drink some milk after your race? Aimless is going to frustrate the bejesus out of a perfect 7-0 remixed roster. Unhittable laggy high pinging internet South American LAN team FTW in this one. Every good team drops one here and again, and for remixed it wouldn't be horrible for them to get the blemish this week to a strongly skilled 4 and 2 South American LAN-star team. The Phantom Team vs Team Perception	This is definitely going to be a good match up. Perception has brought all skill to the table this season. TPT has had a rough season like Fat Albert would have against Jabba the Hut on a seesaw adventure. But still none the less they seemed to have recovered their grounds. Look for this match to be one of the MOTW of this week. Bismal's Prediction: Perception by 250+ Welcome to the wonderful world of inconsistency. Phantom Team of whom I've heard nothing about or ever scrimmed is coming into the match 4 and 5, being anchored by the all around good guy Prydain. A team of Argentinian misfits who do have some skill, but need to bring it to the table every match. Team Perception on the other hand has played well enough in intermediate throughout the season but can't get over the hurdle that teams like remixed and osK have. Look for mcNee and dFlex to have pretty large games and Perception to inch out the crappy internet of the foreigners + Prydain. Keep up the good work on the bench QuickScope! Carebears vs P4nz3r	Not much to say about this game other than that Carebears are going to destroy Panzer by 3 digits or more. Carebears has a great roster and have steadily come back this season to what they were last season as Real Lyfe. Panzer has just had a horrible season not being able to contend with even the worst of teams in IM. Watch out for Carebears to just demolish Panzer. Bismal's Prediction: Carebears by 700+ At 2-7 P4nz3R needs a wakeup call. Some of these matches I'm thinking they aren't even starting with six in the server. Carebears has the means, the know how, and the technology to get the job done. A solid starting six, good teamwork and communication and some experience and knowledge on Harrington. Don't expect them to tread lightly and allow a team with little or no hope for post-season play ruin their chance. This time around, Harrington will be theres. Special Air Services vs Mx3	Although both these teams are not the greatest they are definitely the nicer teams in the community. Watch out for this match to be extremely close. Mx3 definitely have the upper hand with the heavys and sniper but watch out for SaS's rifles to overtake Mx3 by a longshot. Maddox will drop bombs but unfortunately one man wont win this game for SaS. Bismal's Prediction: Mx3 by 70 M&MM have a forfeit win, [sAs] doesn't. 1-4 and 2-5... Maybe next time if you spell Mercenaries properly on your CAL Information page, I'll predict a win for you. Give this to the good guys of DoD. The unsung heroes of comradery and friendship. I had the pleasure of playing with [sAs] back in the day after Rangers: Baker Company dissolved and they are still going strong with the same personality and charisma as ever. homies vs ZeroEthics	All i have to say about homies is that they lag more then a prostitute changes her clothing. Notice that Both teams definitely have team work but Zeroethix has the upper hand with skill. Watch out for Tugger "one man army" to withstand any heavies that come to him on mountain house. Also watch out for Crazykilla to hold long while Dex takes over middle. Bismal's Prediction: ZeroEthix by 145 Don't expect the international soccer phenoms to roll over and play dead here. homies has a three game winning streak that they don't plan on breaking coming into this match, but with some questionable losses to teams that weren't so deserving of a win, I have a feeling there is an underlying roster or team issue that needs to be resolved before they can expect to win. ZeroEthix on the other hand is looking for remixed to lose and to tie them this week in standings with a win over homies. moniKer and eYez` are going to eat them up and spit them out. Untimely Demise (Vindicated) vs iCON	This is going to be a good match up. This is definitely one you would want to spectate. Akiro and Grigo have been preparing themselves well for this match and expect to take the W this week. But at the same time Icon has been frantically practicing making sure that they are prepared to take on one of the best teams in IM. UD had a tough loss last week loosing to Aimless but said that they expected a W and where not to thrilled with the little amount of practice they put into that map. Also the recent loss of morior and todo hurt them bad making a good heavy and good rifle be lost. But watch out for them to take a W this week over icon. Bismal's Prediction: UD by 150+ This is the year of name changes. Can you seriously stop editing your CAL Profiles? Is it that hard to pick a name and stick with it? Both teams here are 5 and 4. Both have a shot at playoffs. iCON wants to keep their winning streak alive and round it up to three. uD wants to break their current streak and take a win this week. uD has more experience, and better players. kicken, twkd, kyle, ex-punge, vass... They've got a great roster and just need to get their whole team on the right page. This match will be do or die for coming up with a good strategy, sticking to it, and getting the job done. That being said, iCON has a chance to take extend their winning streak if and only if they can get over the Harrington hurdles as I like to call them. Frustrating nades at mid, bad registration at long, and boxes and bridge all contribute to the migraine that's caused when loading this map up. A great strategy, executed well can go a long way to overcoming individual skill and experience. Good luck to both teams, but I give the nod to uD cause kicken is inconsistent but sexy. Nexus vs Aristocracy	After playing both teams sometime during this season and losing to both, I must say that this should be the 'Match of the Week' for the IM division. Aristocracy is considered to be one of the powerhouses this season, while Nexus (in my opinion) is also up there had they been playing since the beginning of the season. Both teams will be surprised at their opponent's game performance. Watch solidryed0n (Aristocracy) to be the main force for the mountainside, while Mailman (Aristocracy) and icm` (Nexus) will be the 2 main rifles to watch for. Middle should be very well covered by advenT (Nexus) and his sniper rifle and so Nexus would have the upper hand holding middle. Old Skool vs Antivirus	This match should be of no competition for upper-tier team oldsKool. oldsKool has just finalized their CPL roster and is basically guaranteed to make playoffs. Antivirus has not been doing the greatest and is not living up to anyone's expectation this season. Watch Disco Stu and chicagolegend (both from osK) to be the top fraggers of this match for both rifle teams. oldsKool revolves around Disco Stu destroying wherever he goes and chicagolegend second of Disco Stu. oldsKool should watch out for SKiNnTo (AV), though, for he could give osK's sniper a good beating (if he does snipe, of course). Watch rish to turn it up a notch for AV and hold his area (that is until Disco Stu comes running by). This match will display why osK is one of the top teams in IM this season. Pantheon vs NoGo	I'm not going to predict my own match. I don't know too much of Pantheon, except the fact that I pub on their server sometimes and they seem like pretty chill guys. This should be a fun match. Watch Epimetheus and darKdays to be the 2 dominating players for Pantheon, while bLuerevoLver holds down middle as Sneaky controls most of long for NoGo. 606th FireRats vs New Friends!	Another match that would be of no competition to New Friends! With the loss of their best player, Renton, 606th would give no challenge to New Friends! at all. Watch viceless and DarkSeedX (both from 606th) to do decent, but is no match for robbyF and marlsG of New Friends! Watch robbyF to take care of mountain, while marlsG prones his way to 30+ frags at middle. GungHoUnit's Prediction: New Friends! by 300+ Players to watch: Viceless, darkseedX, marlsG, robbyF
