Another great match up coming up on Thursday. Two undefeated teams that are coming off of strong wins from last week, look to extend their undefeated run. I think the winner of this match will determine the Cal-M champs for this season. That might be saying to much, because every one knows anything can happen, but from what I see so far, that is how I feel. I feel more confident in Jetty just because their roster is more experienced and has many superstar players while n2p relies more on their team skills.

Easily the MOTW, these two powerhouse teams are looking to show who is the early favorite to win main. Both teams could arguably be thrown into invite and do decent so this one should be fun to see. Johnline and surge should do some considerable damage around apartments while paulcoon runs around the entire map being rediculous. The sniper battle is pretty even between eXt and stevE but I could see eXt outfragging stevenotscene after its all over. Possibly the deciding factor is that jetty has picked up joey "more teams a week than prop" harter aka seveN and although you either love or hate the guy, hes a solid player than can swing a teams momentum single handily. Look for him and paulcoon to have a frag-O-thon but jetty takes this one by 75 or more.

Cal-M MOTW right here. This is going to be one intense match, especially on rr1. For JETTY, we’ll see seveN completely dominate middle. It’ll be really hard for n2p to stop him. Excel will just pick off whoever seveN doesn’t kill off. While in the apartments we’ll see surge and buzzbee do their fare share of damage. With all this cheater talk of John Gale, I’m sure he’ll get a good amount of frags as well. However, n2p has been playing together for quite sometime, and it’s going to be tough to break that chemistry and teamwork. Good luck clearing kroD and Hero out of the apartments, while Gorilla will give seveN one hell of a time. eXt is a pretty amazing sniper, and he will make it ridiculously hard to touch middle for JETTY. Overall, n2p scrims more, and they have the chemistry.

No doubt this is the match of the week. The team that deserves to be in
invite versus the team that thinks they should be invite. John "WHO IS
JET?" Gale is nothing short of a beast when it comes to this game. Jetty
has everything that they need to take this one but its not going to be easy
for them with Paul "Gorilla" Coon on the rifle and Drew "Krod" Smith
jesusing eveyrone with the bar. I predict a solid close match between two definate invite contenders.

This seems like an even match up. 3h's roster seems much better than how it performed last week against a newly formed Ptm team, but none the less, the practice effort is just not there. On the other hand, Careface, ironically, seems to care about winning, and practices some, but deffinitley more than 3h. I do see an upset though, with 3h pulling through, because of their experienced players, playing on a classical map that they have been playing for years.

Petey's Prediction: 3h by 50

Even after 3h got wrecked lastweek by ptm (not sure if there were roster issues or what), Ive got some bad news for careface. 3h has picked up an almost nostalgic group of former 3h members including s0v, anguish, and huff. This greatly boosts their roster strength and Careface just doesnt have the means to take this one. Scott "supergay" Schmiggs will run around getting shot and yelling a lot. Id be watching likwid and s0v to go crazy, while wiz puts up a fight with his sniper rifle, it wont matter.

Propaganda’s Prediction: 3h by 125

This is a pretty interesting match-up. 3h, a group of veteran DoD players. After their match against ptm on lennon, it’s safe to say that their roster may look a bit better on paper than when it comes time to play. They lack teamwork, as you can see them barely sliding by teams like NihilisT on anzio, and getting beat pretty badly by ptm on lennon. Careface lost to aborted, a very solid cal-m team on anzio, but not by as much as one might expect. On 3h, watch out for likwid and Schmiggs to dominate middle. And on careface, jb@mbi will be fine by himself in the apartments.

The funny thing with this match up is, one team thinks they will win, the
other... thinks the other team will win too. Hsb, is the team favored to win simply because Aborted feels like Hsb is an "online team". I think it is best summed up by Gloin on the Main Week 3 gotfrag post by posting the following, "hsb > aborted - they scrim, we don't, they are good online, we aren't." So, in conclusion I think Hsb will take this match with ease, sadly.

Aborted has been lucky enough to get paired up with a team full of GB|Spike victims this week for an intense match on rr1. While HSB's ventrilo sounds a lot like a Alvin and the Chipmunks rerun, they are pretty good at dod. Buchan is still suspended for not having SS's or something so that will hurt hsb in apartments. Demetrius and eS will have pretty good games but Im looking for xome to dominate this match. For his experience, hes a relatively unknown player but do not underestimate this soldat! Prostar should be able to hold apartments for the most part and gloin and mayo will be bothersome from 4way. In a close match, aborted pulls out a much needed win to boost their feelings towards dod.

I talked to nugz, a suspended, by very talented player from freshjive Monday afternoon about the two forfeit loses that the team recieved. When
I asked what the reason was for the ff loses, he simply said the team was inactive. However, he did tell me that the team is very active now and that, " lol yeah we scrim like 24/7 now". With that being said I feel freshjive, with an active roster, will be able to use the skill they have to their advantage. This is their first match however, and dth already has already played two matches together. I think it will be a close match with Freshjive coming out with a win.

To be honest, besides deanmachine and st|ck, I dont know a whole lot about dtH. Their leader platypus is gonna be suspended for awhile so that cant be good. On the other hand, fj has two players suspended right now and Im a little confused on how recording demos and taking SS is so hard but we wont go into that. Im basically resting this whole match on LordChambers and nbdyfms' shoulders because both of these teams are at the lower end of main and need to step it up. If freshjive can keep their players unsuspended they could make a better showing the rest of the season. Hopefully lc still has the skill he used to, and can lead fj to their 1st win. p1rate will have a pretty good game and could cause fj some minor problems.

freshjive is off to a harsh start, but it’s pretty obvious they have this one.
They got Lord_Chambers out of retirement, and if they can de-rust him, they will have a clear hold of middle, or long, depending on where he goes. They also have ihaveretired30000times_carb. Who, as hard as it is to say, a solid player. He’s really versatile, and he’ll do good on whatever gun you throw at him. Mare, who I think snipes, should do pretty good as well. Oh and they also got cinnastix out of his MIA status which is good, because I remember him being pretty beastly on dNc, which would give them a good shot at destroying dtH in apartments. Watchout for my scrimstar buddy, p1rate, though. And rate-ypus who will be more random than showtime and kill everyone with insta-headshots. Then again, freshjive has nbdyfms who is just as, if not more, random than rate-ypus.

This is a match with the potential to become a nail biter. Losgueros is one of the undefeated teams so far this season and Despise has the talent
to bring them their first loss. Playing on Railroad this week, the teams will be forced to play a hard match throughout the full 40 minutes. The first
team to make a mistake, such as some one rushing and dieng at train car, will most likely fall behind early and will have a difficult time catching back
up. I am going with Despise because of Losgueros loss of a key player odd, due to "Illegal Rates".

Losgueros played a solid match lastweek, taking down a solid x-t4z3 team on lennon. Look for much of the same this week as they pair off with despise. Despise seems to be one of those teams that is good, but always gets the short end of the stick. They have some good players in caffeineaddict and Talon but they just arent strong enough to beat a team like gueros. Travis "oops i crapped my pants" Jurgens will outsnipe whoever is for depise and godfather and acab will dominate apartments. Also, gueros picked up chuckearly for this match and he should frag well if he isnt cutting himself. Despise is just outmatched in every category.

Bad match-up. Losgueros is amazing; they have awesome players like acab and lars`. Talon and stalinfrag will be amazing in apartments and kirill if he
plays, so that’s going to be kind of…not fun for Losgueros. But a huge win is inevitable.

Losgeuros is amazing. Period. Greg "godfather_" Wolf will have not problem with despises rifles and I'm sure Chuck "Who the hell needs to stop to shoot" Early will dominate whatever part of the map hes playing on. lg's beast everything in sight strat is going to overpower despise and take this win with ease.

It would be nice to think Nwp is even some fraction of a challenge for Unreachable, but the truth is they aren't. Even though Nwp is coming
off a solid win against a strong Rise Above team last week, Unreachable has beaten it's past two opponents for a combined total of over 1,000
points. That is a very good stat to have in my eyes. There is not much else to say besides good luck to Nwp, and have fun to Unreachable.

Even though nwp had what I consider an impressive win lastweek over riseabove, I dont think another win is in the cards for them this time. Nwp actually has a pretty good roster with acknowledgeable players like Showtime, LiNkS, and now slaughter. The problem is they face a team thats been together since dinosaurs roamed the earth, with possibly their strongest starting 6 ever. Brett Haber will have no trouble sniping anything and everything he wants this match. Look for just about all of zerok to have a good game with John Humpson, Mike Vallely, and Gabe "I need a haircut" Johnson leading the way.

This is cruel. NWP has solid players, but how can you really call this a decent match-up? 0|K has amazing players with loads of cal-I experience such as Hudson and smellypants. Smellypants and scubadrew are going to dominate apartments, hands down. Sean will put up a fight, for sure, but overall, smellypants will destroy. Hudson will hold mid by himself. We saw NWP get demolished by n2p, and seeing as to how Hudson is considered a better rifle than anyone on n2p, it’s safe to say he could probably hold down middle by himself. Watch LiNkS be terrible and not kill anything unless they aren’t facing him. And watch for showtime to drop 100 with his tommy of fury and unter of justice. Although NWP just picked up noble, who will help, but won’t change the fact that 0|K will destroy NWP.

OUCH. I think this is the OUCH pred of the week in favor of UNREACHABLE.
NwP is going to have a tough time with this team of amazingness that is
unreachable. Gabe "epiphany" Johnson is going to hold down the fort with
his rediculous sniping and im pretty sure w00d is going to spam something
retarded in irc. Don't see this one being even close at all as UNREACHBLE
has beat both the teams they've played by 500+.
