So, i basically totaled my mazda protege, and the repair costs prolly aren't worth the cost of the car. right now, i'm looking to spend 5-10k on a used car that i will be using through college and after. being the amazing community that the DoD one is, and the fact that i am not that smart concerning cars, i figured i could come here for advice.
essentially, i'm looking for a dependable car that looks slick and i would be proud of owning, yet wouldn't cost me an exorbitant amount. fire away!
to hell with gas mileage unless you drive like 200 miles to work. a reliable car is more efficient than saving $18 dollars when you fill your tank. i suggest anything foreign like a honda or toyota. trucks are also nice if you plan on hauling your own crap around from your home to college but be warned at college you will be asked to help pick up crap for other people.
