GotFrag takes a deeper look into the event as we break it down to the decimal in this edition of GotSkills. Defending champions, MoB Gaming, had their title taken from them on Sunday as Evil Geniuses made an amazing comeback to defeat MoB from the Lower Bracket (16-10;16-9). This wasn't the only match that caught attention as we give you this installment of GotSkills? for the GotFrag Revival Tour. EG - Consistent throughout the event with key rounds during the early matches and was able to keep the momentum strong after a huge loss to MoB in the Upper Bracket Final. 2. MoB - Got within 4 rounds of EG.Girls which caused a scare but was able to have a successful rest of Upper Bracket. Unfortunately they weren't able to keep the momentum after a 16-2 win over EG just prior.3. 50 Calibre - Having been one of the worst teams in CEVO Professional this season, a new team under the 50|cal flag has turned some heads with a third place finish coming just short to EG, 16-13.Got Skills? After the loss to MoB in the Upper Bracket Finals, that didn't slow Gilbert down at all as he totaled 37 frags, 12 assists, and over a .90 FPR rating in just the Grand Final alone. Surprise of the Weekend: 50 Calibre - After their previous roster lost 12 of 14 games and then forfeiting the remainder of the CEVO season, this new team pulls a fast one to take third in the event. They had an easy ride to the Upper Bracket Finals but couldn't hold on as they had to defeat Sway to take third after a very close match losing to EG, 16-13. Stock Rising: Evil Geniuses - This new roster likes to trick people a lot because they have been off and on recently. So far they have been hot winning 6 of their last 7 CEVO matches and only suffered one loss to MoB over the weekend. EG will now be in search for another first place prize in the CEVO Playoffs at the end of the month. Stock Falling: MoB Gaming - These guys acheive a spot in the finals of most US events 98% of the time and that other 2% is them losing when it counts the most. Having been the Upper Bracket winner and only needing one match to win, its crucial to not give up big rounds. EG did just that and was able to counter them with ease as they only gave up 9-10 rounds each match. MoB is still a heavy favorite and working with Cavallero more to tighten the grasp on another championship. |
