The best in the North are gathered together in Montreal to determine who will represent Canada in Cologne, Germany. In Group B, the rivalry between last year's runner up at the Canadian championship, NoPression, and Nameless will be equal to none this year, especially since NP's ex-star player Kevin O'Connor (sKz) has now joined Nameless. HEG and mBH will certainly try to use the expected raw emotion between the two teams to their advantage. BC-based Team Motus is certainly a team to watch this year in Montreal. Coming out a very strong online season, Motus is considered a favorite in Group C which also includes Devastation, the only Canadian team playing in CEVO's pro-division. Devastation recently defeated US powerhouse Complexity. Ruthless and Icons of Vanity are also to be taken seriously. Group D will feature Sway Gaming who is currently ranked 1st in Canada by GotFrag. It will be interesting to see how this young squad will measure against veterans from Dynamo, Rhyno Crushers and Slashlevel who have been to the WCG Canadian championship more than once in the past.
