Counter-Strike: CEVO Pro Placement Melee

By: Brent Meeder - Published January 22, 2008 at 12:07 PM EST - Writer Archive
Eight teams remain as they face off in a double elimination format. Top four will advance to CEVO Professional.
(GotFrag) - The race to be in the CEVO Professional division has begun and twenty teams will ache as they try to qualify. This is the largest set of teams to ever be entered into the CEVO placement since their inception. Six wild card teams will join the already qualified fourteen teams from previous season.

Only four teams will be able to advance into CEVO Pro and a chance to compete with the best. The top two teams from each group will advance to a double-elimination format where they will have a little breathing room. None the less, ten teams will still remain and six will return to CEVO Main next season along with the rest.

Matches for group play will be played on January 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 27th with matches for the double elimination bracket being played the following week on January 29th, 30th, and 31st.

Note: Due to the amount of teams who tied, CEVO tallied rounds won/lost from all three matches to determine a winner.
