Now start your demo using devmap by typing in console:
/devmap mp_mapname* ; disconnect ; demo DEMONAME
*This can be ANY map name, it is not restricted to the map that the demo is on.
You can now fast forward with a multitude of speeds and slow mo (to the point of near pause) while using your arrow keys.
For CoD4, you have to place your demos in the mods -> modwarfare -> demos folder (if you do not have a folder titled "demos" already in there, create one)
Then, start up the game, go to mods and then launch mod warfare. Then, in console, type /devmap mp_mapname* ; disconnect ; demo DEMONAME
Same deal as cod1/2, it can be ANY map name and is not restricted to the demo's map
The timescale commands can also be used in cod4
You can also view the scoreboard in all 3 games by binding a key to "+scores"

Then, copy the name of the demo and in console in game type "/demo DEMONAME"
You can also start it in devmap which allows you to fast forward or rewind.
Do the same thing but before starting your demo (and you only need to do this once, and it will be binded for future demo watching), type in console:
bind UPARROW "timescale 25"
bind DOWNARROW "timescale 1"
bind LEFTARROW "timescale .5"
bind RIGHTARROW "timescale 5"
Now start your demo using devmap by typing in console:
